No surprises then that the management team has these qualities and years of experience to boot !
Steve Kaye – CEO
Steve is a veteran of the IT industry having spent 35 years of his career in many varied roles from technical support, pre sales, sales, sales management and board level posts. He has worked for many US vendors including Silicon Graphics and HP. He has also started up and built 3 IT companies with one culminating in a 4 way merger where he persuaded IBM to invest over £1M in to the venture. He started and ran what was to become IBM’s most successful Tivoli partner growing the business to 65 members of staff, funded from cash flow only. He has mentored many people who have subsequently gone on to become industry heavyweights in their own right.
More recently, over the last 5 years he recognised and responded to the fact that many company directors particularly in the field of IT, including himself, lacked the skills and formal training to carry out their duties as directors. He then embarked on intensive training with the Institute of Directors gaining the certificate in company direction, quickly followed by the diploma. Later he was awarded royal chartered status in recognition of his efforts and development around company direction. Three years ago he was also recognised as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
In 2006 he spent 2 years as a management consultant specialising in board performance at SME level in the IT industry. He wrote a paper and developed a training plan for IBM’s reseller channel to better equip themselves as directors.
It was during that period that he recognised the enormous potential around cloud based computing and that the time was ripe. He started up Cloud Technology Solutions and started to trade in July 2009.
Paul Lees – Vice President of Technology
Paul is one of the leading specialists in the area of Cloud Security, Identity and Access management, and one of the founders of Cloud Technology Solutions. Paul has over 20 years experience working within the IT industry and holds many professional qualifications including accreditions from leading vendors such as Novell, Microsoft, CompTIA, and Google Apps. Paul is also a registered PRINCE2 project manager with over 10 years experience in running successful IT projects.
Before joining Cloud Technology Solutions Paul worked for Salford Software Ltd, a leading provider of Identity Management Solutions in the UK. At Salford Software Paul held the role of Technical and Operations Director and built one of the most successful Identity Management Consultancy practice from scratch. With an in-depth knowledge of the IT Industry Paul was responsible for securing many strategic contracts for Salford Software, including Bank of New York Mellon, AIG, Aberdeen City Council, Bracknell Forest Council, Cambridgeshire Police, Suffolk Police and many more.
Steve Dobson – Vice President of Sales & Marketing
A Graduate from Sheffield Hallam University with in Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Steve has over twenty years experience of the IT industry, both sales and technical. Steve started his career as an electrical and electronic apprentice at Marconi in the early eighties. During his career within the IT sector Steve has had experience of both network consultancy and pre-sales specialist. However for the majority of his time has worked within a sales capacity and has negotiated complex contracts with some of the biggest organisations in the UK. Steve is an experienced solution sales individual with a in-depth understanding of the both business pressures organisations are challenged with both today and the technologies available to address those needs now and in the future.
Before joining Cloud Technology Solutions Steve was responsible for managing a sales team of twelve solution sales executives whom consistently hit personal and company targets.
As the Vice President responsible for Sales and Marketing Steve is very driven and passionate about what the “Cloud” can offer businesses and believes it will be on every organisations agenda over the coming months. True cloud offerings will provide organisations with the flexibility, the agility and cost benefits to lead them out of this current financial climate.
