It’s been an interesting year for Cloud Technology Solutions to say the least.
From being awarded Google Cloud enterprise collaboration partner of the year to releasing a new brand to better reflect how we help our partners outsmart their future, and now we’re ending a huge 12-month span with a trip to ExCeL London for Google Cloud Next ‘19. Check out our day one and day two highlights.
Looking to the future with CTS and Google
This is the go-to event in the cloud calendar, and despite a smaller attendance in comparison to previous years, quality over quantity proved decisive here. This year we experienced a much more engaged and interested audience, who came to Next ready to discuss their cloud environments with the professionals.
This year we brought a new message to the event – outsmart your future. Our presence focused on how our customers can not only meet their aspirations, but also overcome their biggest challenges with some of the most powerful Google technology available.
“It’s been really interesting this year again. A lot of great keynotes and almost too many sessions to cover,” Stefan Hogendoorn said, Chief Technology Officer at CTS, taking the briefest of moments to recap the event. “We feel really well informed by Google about their new technologies and listening to their key notes, it confirms that we are aligned with our plans for the future and the way the technology is heading.”
Driving our partners forward
“The one thing that’s stood out at Google Next is a shift from product to services and solutions. We like to be ahead of the curve, evangelising technology so to speak. Just look at Big Data. It was a ‘trend’ not too long ago, and now it’s a necessity and a large part of our customer’s projects. They need to stay ahead of the curve, and CTS are experienced, skilled and ready to support the journey there.”
Our partnership with the UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) is a great testament to this. During our collaboration, we helped them modernise their IT infrastructure, which led to an improved performance. This was the subject of Mark Lyons’ session during the Customer Innovation Series. During his talk he further highlighted the importance of putting people at the front of digital transformation.
Over the course of the year, CTS has been further recognised for our work in the cloud by Google, including receiving a number of new specialisations and expertise. It’s recognition for work that will continue to be built upon, so customers can be confident that CTS will remain ahead of the curve and ready to take our customers there with us.
When asked about the Google Cloud 2020 and what could happen from now to then, there was a little smile.
“We’ll be back next year, and we’d like to highlight even more of our solutions. We want to shift more of our focus to being a partner as we don’t have to worry about the tech since Google has that covered. We can optimise our customer’s cloud projects and help them drive their business forward. Outsmarting your future isn’t just a tagline. It’s a core principle, integrated in how we’ve worked and will continue to do so.”
