In light of current global events, some businesses are encountering new challenges as they plan to enable remote working at scale. From equipping your team with the right tools to ensuring safe access to company data on a daily basis, here are some questions you should keep in mind to make sure your organisation is prepared:

Does your team have access to the equipment they need to work from home?

Different teams will have different needs, but most people will probably need a portable device, like a laptop. Most of us at CTS use Chromebooks, so everyone is always ready to access cloud-based applications. Additionally, since they’re linked to your Google account, new devices can be set up quickly so team members can access their applications in a matter of minutes, rather than hours.

Depending on their home setup, some people might also need monitors and headsets. Organisations need to make sure that everyone has what they need to carry out their day to day tasks.

Do you have a way to ensure that teams can communicate and carry out meetings remotely?

One of the biggest challenges that remote workers highlight is the feeling of isolation. Being away from the office takes away social interactions that some people find vital to stay motivated. However, thanks to technology, it’s easier than ever for teams to stay connected.

Making sure that you have the right software in place to facilitate these connections is essential to succeed.
